Friendly receptionist, excellent English, smooth check-in. Clean dorm beds and bathroom, capsule style feel. Convenient locker in bed area. Good breakfast selection. Great location, opposite JR Kutchan Station and bus terminal to Grand Hirafu. Easy transportation and close to local supermarket.

During our stay at the Smart Hotel Kutchan, we were impressed with the cleanliness and location of the dormitory. The beds were comfortable and the shared facilities were well-maintained. We enjoyed meeting other guests from around the world and the capsule-style beds offered a unique and cozy sleeping experience. The breakfast provided a good variety of options and the staff at the reception were friendly and accommodating. we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, location, and comfortable accommodations.

The dormitory cubicles were incredibly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, like sleeping on a fluffy cloud, and the fresh-smelling sheets and doona added to the blissful sleep experience. The dormitory was surprisingly quiet, ensuring a peaceful and restful stay. The super friendly and knowledgeable staff made our experience even more enjoyable with their excellent customer service. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, just a one-minute walk from the train station and close to a convenient store that had everything we needed. It was an ideal spot for transit customers, making our travel experience hassle-free. Plus, the capsule-like dorms provided ample privacy, making it a great place for a good night's sleep. The hotel's cleanliness impressed us, and the facilities were top-notch. The staff's helpfulness and friendliness added an extra touch of warmth to our stay. Buses are readily available for easy access to the ski field and there is a beautiful Japanese restaurant just opposite. We also discovered a lovely onsen at Hotel Yotei, which was a short and enjoyable walk away.
